Aryna Sabalenka continues her dominant run at the Australian Open, reaching the semifinals for the fourth consecutive year and moving to within two victories of a third title in Melbourne. The world No. 1 brushed aside tournament revelation Iva Jovic with a convincing 6–3, 6–0 win, reaffirming her status as the player to beat in the women’s draw.

While the match itself offered little resistance for the Belarusian, the most memorable moment came after it was over. Sabalenka once again delivered a lighthearted and headline-grabbing post-match interview, this time with Carlos Alcaraz as the unexpected main character.
Asked about sharing a birthday with the Spanish star—both were born on May 5—Sabalenka joked about what gift she would like from him. “I would ask him to record a TikTok dance with me,” she said with a smile, adding that the real present would simply be “for him to say yes.”
Laughing, Sabalenka revealed that she had already succeeded once before. “Last year I kind of forced him to do the video, and I think I can manage it again this year,” she said, keeping the playful tone that has become a hallmark of her interviews.
The exchange didn’t stop there. The interviewer teased Sabalenka by suggesting that Alcaraz might give her a diamond instead, knowing her fondness for jewelry. Sabalenka burst out laughing, hesitated for a moment, glanced toward her partner in the stands, and jokingly replied, “Can you leave?”
With her tennis doing the talking on court and her personality shining off it, Sabalenka continues to dominate both the competition and the spotlight as she chases another Australian Open crown.
